It was fate and luck that I scored 2 guest tickets to the launch of the Shoot the Chef launch at Chifley Plaza, via the Crave Sydney FB page. These social networks do have some good points, especially when its scoring free tickets to events you're passionate about.

It was all about the photos, the subjects and the photographer. On its 13th year, the event was officially opened with all out cocktails/canapes, wine and good company! Sue Bennet, editor of SMH Good Living magazine officially launched the exhibit with a bit of talk from the exhibition winner Christopher Ireland who took the classic photo of cookery teacher Luciana Sampogna - owner, chef and teacher at Cucina Italiana.

I took sister along and we had a great time, enjoying the launch, had a few cocktails and even got to meet ex Masterchef contestant Billy Law. We walked the night streets in the city and ended the day with some noodle degustation at Wagamama in Bridge Street Sydney CBD
